Where we fit

Serena is well-suited to products where understanding the emotional register of language matters and a black-box answer isn't acceptable.

• Accessibility tooling — captioning, communication aids, products that adapt their tone to a user's state.
• Education — feedback systems where it's not enough to know if a learner is struggling; you need to know how.
• Mental-health-adjacent products — surfaces where every model output needs an audit trail. We do not make clinical claims and we partner only with teams that don't either.
• Research — labs interested in symbolic affective modelling can run their own studies on top of the engine.

What we won't take on

Surveillance contracts. Mass profiling. Anything that uses emotion modelling against the user's interest. We say this in public so it's clear what we mean. Read our commitments →

Licensing the engine

The SERENA pipeline is available to embed in your own product under a commercial licence. The standard route is a hosted API (Cloud Run, EU/UK regions); on-premise is possible for partners with strong reasons to need it.

We don't publish a price list — every engagement looks different and that's the point. We will share the contract template on request.
