Founded in 2026 in the United Kingdom by Blade Harvell on a single bet: AI worth using is AI you can read, audit, and trust. We build it that way on purpose, and we ship it slowly.
How we work
We're a small team. We hire when there's clear, durable work — not to grow for its own sake. Decisions are written down, the changelog is a public diff, and the support inbox is read by a real person (currently the same person writing this).
Every product we ship has to earn its place against three rules: we can read what it does, we can be responsible for what we built, and the surface we hand to a person should feel calm. If a feature breaks one of those, it doesn't ship.
The first product
Serena reads emotion in language and shows its working. It's a deliberate proof-of-concept for the larger thesis: a fully symbolic, fully traceable affective AI that you don't have to guess about. Two papers under it, fifty modules in it, one trace per turn out of it. More about Serena →
